Young Counsellors are carefully recruited through schools in the Limerick area.
They organise sporting, cultural and recreational activities for groups of international students.
Young counsellors join the visiting groups in various outings and contribute vastly to the programme by introducing the international guests to the local lifestyle, places of interest and by helping them to gain confidence in the command of the English language.
Their work is supervised by the programme co-ordinators and the counsellors, usually UL students and graduates.
